I wanted to update my package and add an additional package. So I called the customer care, which by the way is an STD call(or toll free if you have a BSNL line). I think its ridiculous to make STD call to anything to do with Tata Sky. I reside in Chennai.

Coming to the adding additional packages, the lady other end proceeded to add the packages but kept facing system problems for over 5 minutes(all the time requesting me(was irritating) to stay online every 3 seconds). At the end, she said she had to restart her system and that its taking time to upgrade my account. Even after restarting she was not able upgrade my account. So she asked me to call back after 30 minutes. I call again after 30 minutes and I am on hold for 10 minutes with no one taking my call. I hang up and again call after 30 minutes only to be put on hold forever. I was calling the 040 so far, and decided to try my luck with the 020 number. I got transferred to an associate who, without letting me complete my request, said that the system has been down for more than 1.5 hrs and that he is NOT SURE when the systems will be back again. He says it will be set right in 1.5 hrs but asked me to call tomorrow as he was not sure. What a customer service and what kind of system does Tata Sky have? I mean, problems occur, but large enterprises take pride in their uptime and are also valued on their capability to be up in no time when problems occur. At least they should train their customer care associates better to handle such situations. Very Sad!
