Ever since I downloaded the Firefox 3 beta on my new PC a few weeks ago, I have been eagerly waiting for the final Firefox 3 for my laptop(which is what I use most of the time). Lot of people have had lot of problems with Firefox 2.x, but I had just one - MEMORY LEAKS!!! I keep open a lot of tabs and the memory used would skyrocket like inflation. Firefox 3 is said to have solved all those and much more. While I will take another few days for a more detailed feedback on Firefox 3, here is a recap as of now.
- UI and the new look and feel is good
- While some extensions aren’t yet compatible with Firefox 3 yet, I believe the browser will constantly check for compatible ones from you previous list of extensions and prompt periodically.
- I like the One-Click Bookmarking.
Of course, you can take a look at the new features here.

Do you use Greasemonkey? I wrote a timesaver plugin for that. What it did: Select words on a webpage and hit Alt-G, it’ll search Google for the selected words in the background. Hit Alt-A and it’ll do the same for Amazon. Neat stuff, that Greasemonkey.
